Cerro Lomas Blancas, located in the heart of Vallecitos, is one of the most accessible peaks of the Cordón del Plata in Mendoza.
This trek offers a unique chance to enjoy the mountains, combining physical activity with unforgettable panoramic views of the Andes. Its proximity to Mendoza and flexible routes make it ideal for both beginners and experienced hikers.
Tour Description
Starting in Vallecitos, a hub for mountain hikes, the trail ascends gradually through gentle hills, highland grasslands, and small ravines, with continuous views of the Cordón del Plata.
Along the way, you’ll see rock formations, wetlands, and — on clear days — panoramic views of the Potrerillos Valley and the foothills. Reaching the summit of Cerro Lomas Blancas (3,650 m) rewards you with a natural viewpoint of the snow-capped peaks around, like Cerro Plata and Cerro Vallecitos.
After a break and lunch at the summit, the descent follows the same trail — perfect for photos and soaking in the peaceful Andes scenery. An ideal trek for those seeking a full mountain experience without technical demands.
