This full-day trek combines physical activity with the exploration of a stunning valley surrounded by massive granite walls and high mountain landscapes.
Tour Description
Starting near Refugio Portinari, the trek takes you into the Cajón de los Arenales — a glacial valley framed by massive granite walls and peaks over 4,000 meters. The trail passes through wetlands, moraines, and highland meadows, surrounded by the impressive scenery of the Cordón del Portillo.
As you ascend, the terrain becomes rockier, ending at a small highland lagoon where you’ll stop for lunch and enjoy the views.
The return is along the same trail, with new perspectives of the valley and full immersion in the tranquility of the Andes.

· Windproof or waterproof jacket
· Hiking boots or shoes with good grip
