Tour Description

From base camp at Laguna del Diamante(3,300 m.a.s.l.), the ascent is progressive, combining acclimatization days, gear carries, high-altitude camps, and unique experiences in the heart of the Andes. This environment also holds historical and symbolic value: in 1884, French naturalist Paul Guillemin and Chilean geologist Federico Philippi completed the first recorded ascent of the volcano. Today, Maipo remains a classic challenge for Andean mountaineers.
